The program collects, manages, and analyzes both customer Web site activity information (e.g., number of visits, pages of interest) and customer demographic and transactional data. Accrue Insight collects all customer activity from all of the company's Web servers worldwide. The program can scale to handle millions of hits while recording all detail for each visit.
Accrue Insight can reveal if visitors are clicking the stop button on graphic-rich pages and leaving a site or if visitor demand is overwhelming the hardware and software capacity in place to serve the content. Its Network Collector can ensure that the data is auditable according to Audit Bureau of Circulations guidelines by placing an audit stamp on each log line (in cooperation with ABC Interactive).
Insight's Analyzer creates analyzable information from raw traffic data. It weaves visitor activity across all the Web servers in the enterprise into a coherent session along with information about the visitor's actual interaction with the Web site. In addition, the Analyzer can execute customer-written code for enterprise-specific needs.
A high-speed data warehouse enables automated and efficient data management, batch reporting, and interactive data mining.
By importing legacy data, analysis of visitor behavior and site traffic can be more insightful. For example, by combining data from an e-commerce transaction server, a customer database and information on external referring Web sites, a Web marketer can measure the true return on investment of Web advertising campaigns. It also provides a solution for measuring different demographics, the effectiveness of different banner ads and affiliate programs, and what times of day are best to place ads.
Accrue Insight's export utilities allow warehouse data to be exported to third party applications for immediate action.
The program includes a range of reporting options designed for various roles in the enterprise. Reports can be emailed automatically to give site overview information as soon as it is ready. MyAccrue Web pages provide fast access to reports personalized by data access authority and analysis needs.
Accrue Insight monitors traffic served from any HTTP server on all hardware platforms. The Datastore (warehouse) requires Sun Solaris 2.5/2.6; Network Collectors require Sun Solaris 2.5/2.6 or Windows NT 4.0. A Java-enabled Web browser is required.
