Block the Ad-Blockers by Pete Lerma
I understand, like you, the need for ads and marketing to keep sites free from charges. My problem is the sites that need information such as e-mail address, home address, and phone numbers for me to access information, only to have this information papered and sold to sleazy marketing people who inundate e-mail accounts with thousands of unwanted ads and marketing ploys. On a average day I get 70 to 80 e-mails, both on personal and business accounts.
Until marketing and advertising companies stop the deluge of unwanted marketing ploys, these ad blockers will only become more popular. You as marketers are creating your own problems that will affect me in the long run. Products and services that I want I'm able to find in most search engines and have been very happy in the results. I don't need to have one pop up after another, interfering with my Internet experience.
