Digital agency OgilvyOne London has appointed Dave Birss as digital head for the direct marketing unit of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide. The appointment follows a restructuring within the agency's creative department that saw Charlie Wilson and Emma de la Fosse both promoted to become joint creative directors.Birss has held previous roles at digital agency Poke, worked as the creative director at MRM Worldwide, and was an assistant creative director at the full-service agency Mr. Smith.
Stockholm-based Videoplaza has signed its first U.K. clients for its dedicated video ad serving platform, Monetizer. Factory Media and Incisive Media (ClickZ's parent company) will make use of the technology from today, on their Mpora.com and VNUnet.com properties, respectively. Security firm Trend Micro is the first advertiser to use the offering on the VNU site.
British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) has appointed Justin Cooke as its chairman. Cooke is managing director of Web design and build agency Fortune Cookie.
