FastStats

FastStats from Mach5 Software tells you the who, what, where, and why of their Web site, and claims to do it quickly.

Version 2.73 of FastStats has reportedly been observed processing more than over 700 megabytes of log file data per minute. The software generates more than two dozen reports that cover a wide range of statistics. It also includes a Hyperlink Tree View report that graphically shows how users move through a Web site.

Other information FastStats can retrieve includes:

  • The number of hits on a Web server, and the number of actual users (people)
  • The browsers and operating systems used to access the site
  • The most frequently requested files, images, HTML pages, and directories
  • Referring Web sites
  • Search engine keywords used to access the site
  • 404 errors (and the pages that linked to the missing files)
FastStats allows users to filter the data -- zoom in on a specific type of users, such as people using the Internet Explorer 4.x browser coming from the software.com domain.

A free trial download is available. FastStats sells for $99.95.
