It's Official - Twitter's a Marketing Medium

  |  March 21, 2007

Twit.jpgNow you can buy stuff through Twitter, sort of.

Deal-of-the-day site Woot just announced you can add "Woot" as a Twitter friend and continually receive IM updates about products that go on sale, products that sell out, "or when anything else happens around here."

Woot's always been an early adapter of new technologies such as RSS and SMS to stay in touch with its devoted following. It may be the first (or at least, among the first) to jump aboard the hyper-popular new service in a marketing capacity.

Betcha it won't be the last.
