Talk about embracing interactivity and Web culture. John Battelle's Federated Media Publishing has created an ad executive (named Lovisa Tackleberry) and an office in virtual world Second Life. They're taking payment in the in-game currency, Linden Dollars, which can easily be coverted to U.S. dollars.
The company is wrapping up a deal with its first client, an in-world fashion designer who's paying L$13,500 for ads.
New World Notes, FM VP of sales Chas Edwards and FM's official blog are reporting the news.
Aside... we reported about an ad agency that set up shop in Second Life a while back.
