Execs & Accounts: AKQA, Razorfish, Millard

AKQA creates a social media campaign fro Miracle Whip; Razorfish promotes Christopher Juhl; Wenda Harris Millard joins Millennial Media's board.

Miracle Whip launches “Bring the Zing” digital campaign. AKQA created a campaign for the Miracle Whip brand using Firefox and Facebook Connect. The agency was tasked to reintroduce the mayonnaise to a younger demographic through digital executions using social networking and the Miracle Whip Web site.

Razorfish promotes Christopher Juhl in its San Francisco office. He was promoted from senior vice president and managing director to general manager, California, and will be responsible for 180 employees in the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices.

Wenda Harris Millard joins Millennial Media’s board. Millard, president of Media Link, a strategic advisory service for media, entertainment, marketing and advertising companies, joined Millennial Media’s board of directors. Millard was previously co-CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, and chief sales officer at Yahoo.

Wirestone was selected by Olivet Nazarene University to create a social media platform. The Bourbonnais, IL-based university selected Wirestone, a marketing agency, to create an online student recruitment platform with the use of social media applications and technologies. Wirestone won the account in a competitive review with other agencies.

PA Tourism bases campaign on a love story. A spring and summer advertising campaign for the Pennsylvania Tourism Office called “Peter Arthur Stories” was created by Red Tettemer agency. The 26 minute, four-episode feature, following a young man’s journey across the state and into adulthood, will unfold on the www.PAstories.com Web site.

Moxie Interactive creates a campaign for “Taken.” The 20th Century Fox film “Taken” received promotional buzz for its DVD release with creative ad executions that ran on CBS sites, as well as microsites.craveonline.com/taken/.

AbelsonTaylor promotes three key executives. The interactive healthcare-focused agency promoted Jillian Hogan to producer, Scott Lutzow to senior interactive developer, and Josh Testo to assistant digital media planner. Hogan previously held the position associate interactive producer, and will focus on women’s health and acid reflux. Lutzow was promoted from the role of interactive developer; he joined the agency in 2005 and had previously worked as Internet content manager at Clear Channel Radio. Testo became assistant digital media planner from the role of account coordinator. He previously worked at CareerBuilder and joined AbelsonTaylor in 2006.

Rocket Fuel jets with several new executives. The hybrid ad network added several sales executives to its team. David Shapiro, vice president of sales, was previously a consultant for Print2Click, a mobile and commerce technology company. Michael Magnano, director of sales, was director of sales and business development for Predictify and BzzAgent. Jim Mayer, West Coast sales account executive, previously worked for Specific Media as a senior sales executive. Arjun Sahgal, East Coast sales account executive, was director of business development for direct response company Venture Direct Worldwide.

Martopia hires an account executive. Katie Umbaugh was hired as an account executive at Martipa, a Chicago-based marketing, public relations, and interactive agency. She previously worked at an agency specializing in digital and interactive marketing, and before that worked overseas as part of a team in Nairobi, Kenya, managing marketing and communications programming for all of Kenya in an effort to build cross-cultural relations with the U.S.

Acclaim selects Ingergi for online ad representation. Online video game company Acclaim, which creates free, massively multiplayer online role-playing games, announced an exclusive advertising agreement with Intergi. Intergi will represent and supply advertising for the game publisher’s portfolio, including game properties such as “The Chronicles of Spellborn” “RockFREE.”

Inter/Media Group Companies promotes Malena Cruz. Cruz was named senior vice president, chief financial officer. Her previous role at the company was senior vice president, controller.
