Euro RSCG hires a global brand director for Charles Schwab account. Coleen Cahill will serve as global brand director for Charles Schwab, working across Euro RSCG's traditional and digital channels. Cahill was most recently brand equity director at Merkley + Partners where she worked on marketing initiatives for Citigroup and Smith Barney.
Andy Bhatt joins BBDO in New York to head interactive production. Bhatt was named head of interactive production. He has been part of the Omnicom family since 2008, when he joined from Wieden+Kennedy as head of interactive production. He previously served as marketing director for SportingNews.com.
Joe Bartolucci returns to Leo Burnett as SVP. Bartolucci was hired as senior vice president and creative director; he he will lead creative teams at Leo Burnett USA and its marketing services arm Arc Worldwide. Bartolucci previously worked at the agency, then worked at MARC USA and Tribal DDB.
Western Union selects TBA Global as its marketing agency of record for mobile business. TBA will develop a consumer-based strategy and campaign to reach consumers about Western Union's ability to carry out money transfers from a mobile phone.
The American Association of Advertising Agencies appoints Jennifer Kuratek Seidel to lead agency and membership relations. Kuratek Seidel was named senior vice president of agency relations and membership of the association, which includes support of existing members and outreach to new and prospective members. Kuratek Seidel's 19-year career includes experience in interactive and traditional account management. Most recently she served as chief value architect at WPP's Enfatico.
Ringleader Digital and Useful Networks collaborate to co-develop location-based mobile ads. Through its PlaceWhere platform, Useful Networks will provide its geo-targeting and location-based multi-carrier targeting capabilities to Ringleader's technology platform.
Interactive agency HUGE was tapped by the History Channel to explore Africa. The New York-based agency designed a Web site for the new Mark Burnett series "Expedition Africa." The site features eight interactive, promotional landscapes that correspond to upcoming episodes.
Silverpop appoints new head of field marketing. Adam Needles was named director of field marketing for Engage B2B, serving as an advocate for B2B marketers. Needles was previously vice president of marketing and development for analyst firm The 451 Group. The engagement marketing firm also opened operations in Australia and New Zealand.
MangoMobile and GMR Marketing merge. Mobile marketing firm MangoMobile, which is owned by Omnicom, was merged into the parent company's engagement marketing agency GMR. The combined company is expected to expand the discipline of mobile marketing.
AdMatrix names new business development lead. Leilani Smith was appointed director, business development of the Southern California-based ad agency. The promotion puts Smith in chart of developing franchise relationships and creating products and services for those relationships. Before she joined AdMatrix, Smith was an independent consultant.
