MindShare Interaction names managing director; Beyond Interactive founder launches Silverfox; Ammo hires Gary Stein away from Nielsen BuzzMetrics.
MindShare Interaction tapped Margaret Clerkin to be managing director and Jeff Ratner to be director of interactive media. The digital and direct media unit was formed from the break-up of mOne, a joint venture between WPP’s MindShare and OgilvyOne units.
Beyond Interactive co-founder Matthew Day is starting Silverfox, a new marketing firm specializing in digital marketing and media. He’ll relocate to San Francisco to launch the firm.
Word-of-mouth marketing agency Ammo Marketing hired former JupiterResearch advertising analyst Gary Stein as director of strategy. Stein recently served a very short stint with Nielsen BuzzMetrics after departing Jupiter last fall. Ammo is part of Aegis Group’s Isobar digital network, which also includes Carat Fusion, Freestyle Interactive, iProspect and Molecular.
In other Isobar news, Gordy Abel was promoted to VP of marketing for the Carat Fusion and Freestyle Interactive agencies. Abel was previously Carat Fusion’s national director of marketing.
FeedBurner hired Yahoo’s Don Loeb to lead a new San Francisco office to service West Coast partners. Loeb was director of business development for Yahoo’s network products unit. He joins FeedBurner as VP of business development and strategic partnerships.
Return Path named Robert Knapp, former chairman and CEO of Harris Interactive, to its board. Earlier in his career, Knapp held several research advisory and marketing roles at Gartner.
Little, Brown Books for Young Readers tapped Flytxt to launch a “Kiss & Tell” mobile club to promote its book series of the same name. The mobile company previously enabled a similar mobile channel for popular HarperCollins author Meg Cabot.
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta tapped interactive agency Spunlogic for upcoming usability testing and enhancements on its Web site. The client relies heavily on its site for communication with several different audiences.
ContextWeb joined the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) as an associate member.
Videogame publisher NCsoft North America tapped Massive Inc. to represent ad inventory in its Auto Assault online role-playing game. Ads will appear in North American and European versions of the game.
Revenue Science hired Tara Greeley and Jonathan Penn to its revenue management team. Greeley’s advertising experience includes work for CNN Interactive, AT&T and Hallmark Channel with agencies like Ogilvy & Mather and MediaEdge:cia. Penn has held sales posts with Doubleclick, eXact advertising, Brightclick and MSN.
