Starcom USA subscribed to TiVo's Stop/Watch ratings service. The agency is the first to use the monthly data subscription offering to better understand time-shifted viewing and how fast-forwarding behavior affects engagement.

MediaWhiz promoted Danay Escanaverino to director of marketing and hired a CFO. Escanaverino held the title director of marketing at MediaWhiz, and previously served in the same role at Filinet.com and WhiteDelivery.com. Thomas Lanzetta was named CFO. He previously worked as COO at Agency.com.

IGA Worldwide tapped a Discovery TV executive to head ad sales. Kenneth Ripley was named EVP of global advertising sales for IGA Worldwide. He previously served as VP of sales for Discovery Communications and national sales manager for Discovery's emerging network group where he was responsible for sales on a number of networks including Discovery HD, Discovery Times and The Military Channel.

Double Fusion added Netamins' Ultimate Baseball Online to its network. Double Fusion will be the exclusive provider of dynamic in- and around-game ads in the massively multiplayer sports title.

Agency.com opened an office in Rome, to be overseen by Milan office Amministratore Delegato Franco Ricchiuti. The Milan office opened in August of last year. The agency has also launched the redesigned version of eye care company Alcon's site.

MacGroup picked up GMI's market research software for data collection. MacGroup intends to use the data to create scalable models for industry sectors, and link emerging markets for multinational corporations.

Dian Schwartz was named director of marketing and interactive business development for Fever Films and Generator Productions. The new role is in addition to Schwartz's existing role as executive producer of Fever Films.

Auto community site Cargurus.com hit the Web, with several industry veterans involved in its formation. Langley Steinert, founder and CEO, was previously chairman and co-founder of TripAdvisor. Ebay veteran Simon Rothman and TripAdvisor President and CEO Steve Kaufer both acted as investors and will serve as board members. Former Yahoo executive Matt Rightmire contributed to the company as an investor.
