San Francisco digital agency AKQA set up a huge inflatable lion cub outside the Palais to promote the Future Lions awards. Leo Burnett recruiter David Perez - a.k.a. @DavidOnDemand - who is video-streaming his Cannes odyssey while obeying tweeted commands, strutted on Le Croisette showing off a fresh Twitter tattoo. And TED@Cannes brought together such figures as internet theorist Clay Shirky, designer Stefan Sagmeister, and Foursquare founder Naveen Selvadurai for an exclusive event sponsored by Microsoft and Starcom MediaVest Group.
