Ads on Facebook reached almost two thirds of U.S. Internet users in September, according to data from comScore. The online measurement company estimates 62.4 percent of all U.S. users were exposed to Facebook ads over the course of the month.
Struggling rival network MySpace reached almost a quarter of U.S. users, at 24.3 percent, and ads on LinkedIn.com reached 6.1 percent.
Despite the fact Twitter continues to expand its own ad offerings, sponsored activity on the site was viewed by just 3.2 percent of U.S. users during September, comScore estimates, representing around 5 percent of the reach of Facebook ads in September.
