LivingSocial is running Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals from brands such as Verizon, Office Max, Skechers, The New York Times, FTD, and Wine.com. The daily deals company will pitch nine offers on Friday that will be live throughout the weekend, while 15 more discounts will be available on Monday.
Retailers involved with the promotions are offering 50 percent discounts with the exception of FTD, which is running a $15-for-$35 voucher (57 percent off). Subscriptions-based offers by New York Times, Hearst Magazines, and ShopRunner each hover around 60 percent discounts.
If comScore data from 2010 is any indication, LivingSocial may experience a sizable Cyber Monday haul. Online sales broke the $1 billion mark last year for the first time ever, the research firm said.
