The official MLB Twitter page posted a tweet this morning challenging fans to participate in a Twitter scavenger hunt. Major League Baseball is offering clues via tweet related to places around Kansas City, where this year's All Star Game will be played at the Royals' home park. The @MLB tweets also feature the #DonJulioAllStar hashtag - a reference to the tequila brand sponsoring the game - open to people 21 and over. The first fan to arrive at the secret destination and repeat the Twitter phrase "Know Your All-Stars" to the authorized representative will be awarded a prize.
3rd CLUE: Jump in you & might be behind bars but 1st person who finds Jeff Nelson and yells "Know Your All Stars" wins. #DonJulioAllStar

The scavenger hunt - kicked off today and ending tomorrow - requires people to follow @MLB, and gives fans the opportunity to win a ticket to tonight's Homerun Derby or two tickets to the MLB All-Star Game Tuesday night.
Another company looking to spotlight their connection to the All-Star Game is State Farm. With a Promoted Trend on Twitter, the insurance firm is using the #GoToBat hashtag to push its charity campaign of the same name.
By hitting a virtual homerun in a Go To Bat Interactive Game, players earn an entry to win a VIP trip to the World Series. Participants can also score entries through social sharing in the season-long effort. Once per day, players can share one game played through the social share icon. In addition, each person who clicks on the shared link will count as another entry and chance to win. There's also a Go to Bat mobile app.
Ten grand prize winners receive a three day/two night trip to attend a 2012 World Series Championship game with a guest and an $18,000 donation to a charity of their choice.
