It was a low-key day at the Republican National Convention on Monday, as scheduled events were called off due to the threat from Hurricane Isaac. But, there was still activity as the weather turned from sunny and balmy to downpour. Highlights included a visit by Geraldo Rivera to the Twitter space in the Tampa Convention Center.

It was a balmy, sunny late morning in Tampa as the threat of Hurricane Isaac moved west. Inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum, a few delegates and members of the media milled around despite cancellation of this, the first planned day of events.
Longtime talk show host and media icon Geraldo Rivera swung by the Twitter booth at the Tampa Convention Center, adjacent to the Times Forum where the main convention events are being held. Rivera is broadcasting his radio show, "Geraldo," live from the RNC this week.
Geraldo Rivera took a break from Radio Row at the RNC to swing by the Twitter booth and learn a bit about how Twitter hashtags help spread messages quickly.
