Social commerce website, LivingSocial, has appointed Barry Judge as chief marketing officer. Based in Washington DC, Judge will oversee all aspects of marketing for the company, including online and offline advertising, brand management, social media, and communications.
Prior to joining LivingSocial, Judge served as vice president and global chief marketing officer for Best Buy. He has also held a number of other senior marketing positions at companies such as Young & Rubicam, Coca Cola USA, The Quaker Oats Company and the Pillsbury Company.
"Barry is a giant in the field of marketing and his decision to join our leadership team is a tremendous vote of confidence in our vision," says Tim O'Shaughnessy, chief executive of LivingSocial. Melanie White is news and special projects editor at ClickZ, where she has worked since July 2012. White has been with Incisive Media (ClickZ's parent company) since 2009 where she was deputy editor/ US editor for one of the financial risk management titles, International Custody and Fund Administration (later Custody Risk).
In addition, White worked on FX Week where she was a senior reporter. She has also worked and contributed to a number of other titles, including The Accountant, International Accounting Bulletin, the New York Post, Independent Magazine (UK), as well as the broadcast title Sunday Live with Adam Boulton at Sky News.
