Ben Phillips New Global Head of Mobile at MediaCom
WPP's MediaCom has appointed Ben Phillips Global Head of Mobile. In his role, Phillips will define the best practices in MediaCom's digital campaigns across all units. Before he joined MediaCom, Phillips was commercial director at Adloqi, a RTB mobile ad platform. Previously, he conducted mobile marketing for Velti, MoMac, and MindMatics. Phillips will work outside the U.K. and report to David Kyffin, Global Chief ROI and Marketing Officer at MediaCom.
Arvind Gupta, Andrea Sharfin and Stan Kazmierczak Joined Vungle's Executive Team
Vungle recently announced three new hires - Arvind Gupta, Vice President of Product Management, Andrea Sharfin, Vice President of Marketing and Stan Kazmierczak, Chief Financial Officer.
Previously, Gupta worked for Microsoft, where he served as the principal group program manager in the online services division. Gupta was responsible for managing the company's business intelligence and billing products for Microsoft's display advertising business. Before Microsoft, Gupta worked for Yahoo. He holds an MBA from Columbia University.
Before Sharfin joined Vungle, she was product marketing manager for Disney Interactive, where she led marketing for Playdom.com. Prior to that, she worked for Facebook as the product marketing manager of Platform & APIs. In her role at Facebook, Sharfin launched the Preferred Marketing Developer Program. She earned an MBA at the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
With more than 20 years experience in finance, Kazmierczak previously served as CFO at both Digital Link and VINA Technologies. He guided both companies through IPOs. Kazmierczak was also CFO at Speedera Networks, where he participated in the company's sale to Akamai in 2005.
Matt Kropp Promoted to Senior Vice President at Covario
Covario recently named Matt Kropp senior vice president for global client strategies and project management. With 16 years experience in digital marketing, Kropp will lead Covario's global team to support enterprise search and content marketing clients, as well as the software division's SEO and social media technology account group. He will be based in Chicago. Kropp joined Covario in 2010, where he worked as senior director of client services.
Gregg Clampffer, Micky Coyne, Damian Isaak & Gabor Szalatnyai, 72andSunny Amsterdam
72andSunny Amsterdam announced four new creative hires: Gregg Clampffer and Micky Coyne, creative directors, Damian Isaak, senior writer and Gabor Szalatnyai, creative technologist.
Before he joined 72andSunny Amsterdam, Clampffer worked for Arnold Amsterdam, TBWA/Chiat LA and Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam. He has worked on a number of high-profile projects, including pan-European efforts for Electronic Arts and the launch of the ESPN UK sports channel.
Coyne has worked for several top agencies, such as Goodby Silverstein & Partners and Droga5. He has created work for many brands, including the "Made Co." initiative for Honey Maid.
Previously, Isaak served at JWT and DDB's Argentinian offices. He has contributed to well-known campaigns, including Salvation Army's "Sr. Amor" and Ford Ranger's "Folks Tales."
Prior to 72andSunny Amsterdam, Szalatnyai was with Agency Republic and BBH/Labs London, where he was in charge of experiments for BBH Labs. At the same time, he was working on the multiple award-winning "Apollo" campaign for Axe.
