North American Advertisers Will Invest $33 Per Social Network User in 2014

Social network advertising spending in North America will be the highest over the next two years, eMarketer says.

North America will attract more dollars in social network advertising than any other region in the world over the next two years, according to eMarketer.

This global digital analysis company projects that North American advertisers will invest $33 on social network advertising per social network user this year, up 27 percent from last year. That's more than double per-user spending estimated in Western Europe, as well as more than ten times higher than the projected spending in Asia-Pacific.

Meanwhile, eMarketer says that North America will keep its upward trend in 2015, as the region is estimated to increase its social network ad spending per user to $40. In comparison, Western Europe will reach $16 in per-user spending, while Asia-Pacific will invest a mere four dollars.

However, North America lost to Middle East & Africa when it comes to social network advertising growth. At 64 percent in 2014 and 52 percent in 2015, Middle East & Africa is projected to be the fastest growing social network ad market, followed by Latin America. By contrast, North America is estimated to grow by 31 percent and 25 percent respectively over the next two years.
