Debbie Weinstein Is Leaving Unilever for Google
Unilever's vice president of global media Debbie Weinstein will join Google. Weinstein will work closely with Benjamin Faes, managing director of Media and Platform at Google, to help Google's brand building in Europe. She will be based in London.
Weinstein joined Unilever in 2009. During her tenure, she held several positions, including senior director of global media innovation and most recently, vice president of global media. She is also known for her work on Real Beauty Sketches for Dove, which went viral last year. Weinstein received her MBA from Harvard Business School.
Baljeet Singh, Former YouTube Executive and New Product Director at Twitter
Twitter appointed Baljeet Singh as product director. In his new role, Singh will spearhead the company's video advertising strategies by establishing partnerships with broadcasters and other creators, as well as promoting video ads through Twitter's Amplify Program. He will report to Kevin Weil, Twitter's vice president of product for revenue.
Before joined Twitter, Singh worked for Google and YouTube for five and a half years, where he developed YouTube TrueView ad formats.
Morgan Carroll, Executive Creative Officer at Digitas LBi
Digitas LBi tapped Morgan Carroll as its executive creative officer for both the Chicago and San Francisco offices. He will be based in Chicago.
Previously, Carroll held a similar role at Deutsch where he spearheaded campaigns for Microsoft, Unilever, and Ikea, among others. Prior to that, he was a founding member of Darwin Digital.
Steve Saul Joined Wunderman as Its First Social Production Lead
Wunderman, a member of WPP Group, hired Steve Saul, former social media producer on The X Factor series, as the agency's first social production lead. In the new role, Saul will be in charge of Wunderman's social and content marketing accounts for a series of brands, including Nokia, Shell and Microsoft.
With more than 15 years of experience, Saul has worked on social media production and consultation for many TV shows, including Britain's Got Talent, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and Being Human.
Saul joined Wunderman from Cedar Communications where he served as social media producer. Prior to that, he worked on BBC's supernatural drama Being Human.
Three Key Hires at Isobar U.S.
Isobar U.S. announced three new hires - David Trumpf as an associate creative director, Stefan Georgi as an art director, and Dana Randall as an engagement director.
Trumpf joined Isobar from R/GA where he spent seven years working with clients, including Nike, Unilever, and Verizon. Prior to that, he was an independent creative for a series of brands, such as Gap, Major League Baseball, and Coca-Cola. He is also the co-founder and creative director of Chalet Magazine, a publication about cycling.
Before joined Isobar, Georgi served as a senior art director at Ogilvy where he built mobile experiences and large-scale platforms for brands. Prior to Ogilvy, he worked at several agencies, including Droga5 and TBWA\CHIAT\DAY.
Previously, Randall ran her own digital boutique Built by the Factory where she worked closely with clients, including Rogers Publishing, Kraft, and Jay Z.
Kevin M. Newby to Lead Digital Strategy Across Cutwater
San Francisco-based ad and digital communications agency Cutwater hired Kevin M. Newby as its director of digital strategy and analytics. In his new role, Newby will lead the digital direction across the agency's client list.
Before joined Cutwater, Newby worked for HAVAS WW Chicago, where he held a similar role. Prior to that, he worked for HAVAS WW San Francisco since 2008. Early in his career, Newby founded and ran his own digital agency Kadium for seven years.
Matt Sherman Joined David&Goliath
LA-based creative agency David&Goliath (D&G) named Matt Sherman associate creative director. With more than 10 years of experience, Sherman will lead the team to work closely with the agency's biggest client, Kia. He will report to D&G's managing partner Colin Jeffery.
Previously, Sherman served as associate creative director at Mullen LA where he worked on creative campaigns for Acura. Prior to that, he spent three years as a copywriter at Deutsch LA.
