Technology has created an abundance of opportunities but it has also created lots of challenges, says Randi Zuckerberg at the inaugural ClickZ Live New York.
The inaugural ClickZ Live New York kicked off with a bang on Tuesday as more than 2,000 digital marketing participants gathered at the Marriot Marquis in Times Square to listen to the opening keynote, Randi Zuckerberg.
Zuckerberg, who is the founder and chief executive of Zuckerberg Media and the editor-in-chief of Dot Complicated (not forgetting sister of Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg, of course!) spoke about the journey of her career - from serving as the marketing director for Facebook for six years to starting her own company. "Facebook opened up my eyes to entrepreneurship and opportunities that existed around technology," she said.
She also spoke about the biggest new media trends that are affecting the lives of consumers today, such as the maker culture, wearables, and visual mediums like Pinterest.
