All hail Chris Pemberton, digital brand manager for Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, the guy with one of the best marketing jobs in the world. After all, how easy (and scrumptiously amazing) must it be to market chocolate? I know that I'm sold just thinking about it!
But it isn't always so, says Pemberton. Especially in the summer months when everybody is worried about the size of their hips, rather than an indulgent chocolaty moment on the lips. So in this era of the digital age (and self conscious consumers), how does a brand like Ghirardelli make sure its chocolate stays relevant? Social media is the answer, notes Pemberton.
