As summer nears its end, turnover at agencies and other marketing companies is at an all-time high. This August ad-tech companies and global creative agencies, including Criteo, Tribal Worldwide, and Dentsu Aegis Network, were looking for top-performing digital talent to boost their business performance.
Criteo Taps Millennial Media's Mollie Spilman as Chief Revenue Officer
Performance advertising technology company Criteo has named Mollie Spilman as chief revenue officer. One of her major responsibilities is to grow Criteo's mobile business. In addition, she will lead all commercial operations globally. Spilman will report to Eric Eichmann, who was promoted to president and chief operating officer prior to this new hire.
Spilman's digital ad experience spans 16 years. Most recently, she served as executive vice president of global sales and operations at Millennial Media. Before that, she was chief marketing officer at Yahoo and chief sales and marketing officer of Advertising.com. She also held chief executive roles at two ad-tech start-ups, as well as senior executive positions at several media companies, including Time Warner, Meredith Corporation, and Discovery Networks.
Heather Harrigan to Lead User Experience Design and Strategy at Tribal New York
Tribal Worldwide's New York office has appointed Heather Harrigan as head of user experience design and strategy. In her new role, Harrigan will spearhead a customer-centric vision, strategy, and execution of the user experience design, as well as advocate a vision for Tribal's new interaction models designed to meet clients' needs. She will report to Richard Guest, U.S. president of Tribal Worldwide.
Before she joined Tribal Worldwide, Harrigan worked at agency Rokkan, where she served as senior vice president of user experience. Prior to that, she worked at DailyCandy, frog design, and Proxicom for a number of brands, including General Mills, Citi, JP Morgan, GE, and The New York Times.
Belle Lenz, New Regional Director of Communications at Dentsu Aegis Network, Americas
Dentsu Aegis Network has hired Belle Lenz as regional director of communications, Dentsu Aegis Network, Americas. Lenz will lead the team in developing and driving the company's communications strategy across its key growth markets. She will be based out of New York.
Most recently, Lenz served as vice president of global communications at IPG Mediabrands, in charge of corporate communications, partnerships, and events for the company. Before that, she held senior communications and public relations positions at Havas Media and DiGennaro Communications.
Five Key Promotions at Big Spaceship
Brooklyn, New York-based digital creative agency Big Spaceship has announced three executive-level promotions: Rob Thorsen from head of client services to managing director, Mark Pollard from vice president (VP) of brand strategy to executive vice president of strategy, and Chris Fahey from VP of product and user experience to senior vice president of product and user experience.
This move responds to the agency's growth across its practice areas, including social, product, marketing, and communications. In their new roles, Thorsen, Pollard, and Fahey will continue to develop client relationships and drive new business for the agency.
Along with the three executive-level promotions, Victor Piñiero, who was the agency's lead content director, will take on the role of VP of social. And Tony Clement, former strategy director of analytics, has been promoted to VP of analytics, overseeing the agency's integration of the practice throughout all of its capabilities.
Subhashish Dutta Joins DDB Mudra North's Creative Force
DDB Mudra North has appointed Subhashish Dutta as senior creative director (art).
A veteran with 15 years of experience, Dutta has worked for a number of agencies, including Bates, Contract, and McCann, and was actively involved in the creation work for brands such as Nokia, Volkswagen, ESPN Star Sports, LG, and Reebok.
Meanwhile, he has created several noteworthy campaigns and won numerous creative awards.
Jason Tengco to Lead Campaigns & Grey's Bacon Unit
Philippines-based marketing and communications company Campaigns & Grey has named Jason Tengco digital director. One of Tengco's main tasks will be to boost the capabilities of the company's digital and activation unit Bacon.
Before he joined Campaigns & Grey, Tengco served as digital director of Dentsu, where he was in charge of several high-profile projects, including "It's More Fun in the Philippines" for the Philippines Department of Tourism. Prior to Dentsu, he held a number of roles at Carat, Mindshare, and AdMax.
