Amazon unveils ‘Launchpad’ to promote start-ups

Amazon has announced a new programme to help start-ups across the globe launch, market and distribute their products.

Amazon has announced a new programme to help start-ups across the globe launch, market and distribute their products.

The Amazon Launchpad store will stock more than 200 products from up-and-coming companies, giving these young companies access to the retail giant’s global customer base and fulfilment network. Amazon will also offer participating start-ups help with brand development.

Jim Adkins, vice president at Amazon: “As the pace of innovation continues to increase within the start-up community, we want to help customers discover these unique products and learn the inspiration behind them. We also know from talking to start-ups that bringing a new product to market successfully can be just as challenging as building it.”

He continued: “Amazon Launchpad gives customers access to a dedicated storefront featuring a variety of innovative new products from emerging brands.”
