1-800-U.S.SEARCH signed an advertising and promotion agreement worth an estimated $5 million to provide users of the Lycos Network with the ability to conduct searches through the 1800USSEARCH.com Public Records Portal.
1-800-U.S.SEARCH is a majority owned subsidiary of the Kushner-Locke Co. Under the terms of the two-year agreement, SEARCH will be the exclusive public records re-seller on the Lycos Network. Lycos users will have access to SEARCH through banners, buttons, text links and keyword searches.
“Our alliance with SEARCH is mutually beneficial because our extensive network gives SEARCH broad exposure, and the services they provide will be useful to our nearly 30 million users,” said Dave Peterson, Lycos vice president.
The Lycos Network is composed of sites that include Lycos.com, Tripod, WhoWhere, Angelfire, MailCity, HotBot, HotWired, Wired News, Webmonkey, Suck.com and MyTime.com.
SEARCH, through its, 1800ussearch.com Web site and its toll-free 1-800-US SEARCH telephone services, provides a range of public record information and search services to individuals, and corporate and professional clients. SEARCH’s current services are primarily used for locating people, conducting background checks, identity verification, national court records searches and adoption reunion services.
