14 IFTTT recipes to improve the social presence of your business

Here’s how to use IFTTT to speed up your social media marketing efforts.

IFTTT, which is an acronym for ‘if this then that’, is a very useful tool full of recipes that can help you automate time consuming tasks on social media.

For example, instead of doing manual posting from one social network to another, you can use IFTTT to do the process automatically, which can be very useful when you’re trying to maintain a consistent social presence for your business.

You can browse thousands of recipes, the so-called triggers that link two actions, and you can activate the ones that work better for you, depending on the channels, the goals, or the tasks that you want to automate.

Here are some suggestions (click images for links to recipes):

Be careful with the automation process

It’s great when you can save time and still have an active social presence for your business, but it’s also important to consider that there needs to be a balance between automation and actual posting.

You may want to prioritise the social networks that you’re using, in order to automate the “secondary” ones, while you can handle the primary ones on your own. Moreover, it’s crucial to monitor the social networks during the automation, or at least to keep an eye on them daily, in order to ensure that there isn’t a bug, or a wrong posting that might affect your business.

This is the best way to maximise your social efforts, while you’re also saving time to focus on other aspects of your business.
