Internet Explorer draws on '90s nostalgia for new campaign

Did you grow up in the Spice Girls-loving, neon tracksuit-wearing, POG-playing era that was the '90s? If so, Internet Explorer is fighting to get you back with its new #childofthe90s digital campaign, which celebrates the old and the new in a bid to urge users to re-embrace its updated web server.

Did you grow up in the Spice Girls-loving, neon tracksuit-wearing, POG-playing era that was the ’90s? If so, Internet Explorer is fighting to get you back with its new #childofthe90s digital campaign, which celebrates the old and the new in a bid to urge users to re-embrace its updated web server.

The rebranding effort is an obvious attempt to tempt users back from Chrome and Firefox, but as the tweets analysed by Forbes recently pointed out, though the ad was well-received, many still seem loathe to return to the old browser.
