The number of home users rose almost across the board.
There was an overall increase in active Web users in August, with incremental growth in all 10 countries tracked by Nielsen//NetRatings except for the U.K.
The number of active home users went up across the board, with the largest percentage of increase taking place in France. The country experienced 6.95 percent growth in August. Brazil also added 248,511 users, a 1.86 percent growth over July.
The U.K. dipped less than half a percentage point (-0.39 percent), a loss of 93,751 users during calendar month.
Nielsen//NetRatings uses a sampling methodology applied worldwide, which allows for data aggregation on a regional and global basis.
