Ad-Gallery.com, an interactive portfolio of advertising worldwide, opened its virtual doors to the creative community.
The companies said Ad-Gallery.com is intended to become a compendium of advertising as it builds a database of advertising portfolios from creative and advertising agencies around the world.
At Ad-Gallery.com, creative agencies can showcase all the elements of their advertising campaigns online. Agencies can input their own portfolios on the site free of charge. Members create and maintain their own portfolios on the Web site by uploading their creative to the site’s live media asset management system through a standard Web browser.
The site is designed so that the creative community can interact and learn from each other, whether it be researching campaigns, looking for advertising agencies, finding the right creative service, searching for brand marketing ideas or showcasing campaigns.
“Ad-Gallery.com will allow agencies to learn from each other’s successful campaigns and exhibit their finest work,” said Bob Risse, publisher of ChannelSeven.com. “This global portfolio will help raise the bar on an industrywide level by encouraging the best and the brightest to show agencies and potential clients their capabilities. Now, brand marketers have a powerful tool for ‘comparison shopping’ as they browse the work of agencies worldwide.”
The interface, provided by Warp 10, presents a search mechanism on each page. The interface allows a visitor to search the content database for key items using free form text. Each advertisement or asset, along with associated descriptive information, is stored as an object in the media asset management system. Warp 10’s core engine is capable of scaling through millions of objects.
HP, another key technology provider at the Ad-Gallery.com site, is supporting the portal with HP OpenPix products and programs. HP OpenPix is server software for streaming high-quality digital images to any type of client browser or viewing platform across the Web. HP recently announced OpenPix ImageIgniter, breakthrough Internet imaging software that lets users control how they view and print Internet images and provides Web site owners with tools to track and analyze how users interact with images.
Ad-Gallery.com plans to expand support beyond images and animation to include audio and video, and to encompass all types of advertising including print ads and radio and television ads.
