If the crowd waiting outside the conference room is any indication, attendees at Ad:Tech are certainly much more concerned with how to generate some Viral and WOM buzz than they are any Big Brother style regulations threatening to come out of Washington D.C.
As I write this, there is still a crowd of 50 to 100 attendees waiting to push their way into an already filled to capacity room discussing the former, while the room next door where a discussion titled “Dispatch from DC: Big Brother is Watching,” that’s twice the size of the other room, is sparsely populated.
Clearly, Washington’s approach to privacy and marketing needs more of a viral buzz to make life easier on the organizers of this conference.
