The Bad News Bears of TV advertising have entered a new phase in their plans to auctionize TV inventory, courtesy of eBay.
Toyota Motor, Wal-Mart Stores, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and Home Depot and Lexus are among the companies hoping to drop a wrench in the networks’ upfront machinations. A web site at admarketpilot.com has been set up to let advertisers and agencies join up. The system will reportedly go live early in 2007.
