Agencies Consolidate: to the Extreme!

So, it’s official. Publicis Groupe has officially sucked in Digitas. According to an AdWeek story, the agencies are expecting a seamless integration.

In other agency news, associate CD of DDB Canada, Cosmo Campbell, has been named CD for the agency’s interactive marketing branch, Tribal DDB Canada.

Hmmm…not only are agencies consolidating, now they’re practically collapsing into themselves.

This move from traditional to digital for Campbell is an interesting one, though, and perhaps signals that DDB gets the fact that media is becoming more and more integrated.
