Audio Book Club Gains Exclusive Status on Deja News.com

Audio Book Club Inc. , which hasbeen signing marketing deals left and right, inked one with Deja News Inc. to become the exclusiveaudio book marketer on the site.

Audio Book Club Inc., which has been signing marketing deals left and right, inked one with Deja News Inc. to become the exclusive audio book marketer on the site.

In addition, Audio Book Club will sponsor the Deja News Entertainment, Arts and Book Channels and “Mail a Friend” text messaging. ABC will also have banners on discussion forums and discussion posting pages. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

Deja News’ free Web-based service enable consumers to participate in, read and search more than 60,000 Internet discussion forums, including Usenet newsgroups. Deja News claims more than 125 million page views per month.

“We anticipate a significant response from this exclusive advertising campaign and sponsorship of Deja News’ entertainment, art and book channels, based on the fact that these sites are specifically targeted to users actively seeking information on books and related subject matter,” said Norton Herrick, chairman and CEO of Audio Book Club. “Such highly targeted marketing has and continues to prove successful in enhancing Audio Book Club’s membership base and revenue growth.”
