Another day, another advertising pact for Audio Book Club Inc. , which signed an exclusive advertising agreement with Planet Direct ,a wholly owned subsidiary of CMG Information Services Inc.

Another day, another advertising pact for Audio Book Club Inc., which signed an exclusive advertising agreement with Planet Direct, a wholly owned subsidiary of CMG Information Services Inc.

Planet Direct is a free, personal Web service that tailors members’ online experience to their own personal interests. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Audio Book Club has been aggressively signing ad and distribution deals with various sites as it seeks to expand its membership business.

The company said that PlanetDirect.com packages Internet features in one central location, then provides members an opportunity to personalize the service to their specific interests, needs and local community. The service is designed to provide information needed daily such as real-time news, local and national weather, financial information, horoscopes and 15 popular interest channels, with highly personalized tools such as a stock portfolio, virtual address book and customized calendar. Also featured are chat rooms, discussion groups, instant messaging and opinion polls, creating a robust community atmosphere.

Audio Book Club said it will be one of two default advertiser settings located under the Favorite Links heading on the Planet Direct start page. The company will be the first default advertiser listed and can rotate text promoting either www.audiobookclub.com or www.booksaloud.com on a monthly basis.
