Bathstore’s first campaign under the stewardship of Saatchi & Saatchi started last night with the broadcast of ‘Duck’, an advert highlighting the major life events that can occur in the bathroom.
‘Duck’ is part of the company’s ‘Bathrooms Matter’ campaign, which will also include print, digital and PR activity at a cost of £500,000 over the next year. The campaign carries the strapline: “Bathrooms matter. Visit the experts.”
The clip shows people experiencing big life moments, such as a woman finding out she is pregnant, as the brand’s mascot, a blue rubber duck, watches on.
Claire Bayliss, Bathstore’s chief marketing officer, told KBB Daily: “We wanted to take the next step and bring on board an agency who could help us tell the Bathstore story and support our continued growth.
“As the bathroom experts, we know better than any other retailer how important bathrooms are to our customers. This campaign puts the heart back into the bathroom, giving examples of special moments that resonate with many of us and reminds people why it is a room worthy of investment.”
