Cyber Monday 2018 hit $7.9 billion in sales yesterday, a 19.3% YoY increase from 2017. It was the biggest online shopping day in U.S. history.
Adobe Analytics tracked billions of data points across their Experience Cloud to see what insights and trends we can find from this year’s holiday online shopping season. Here are the numbers we have so far:

Black Friday sales 2018
Black Friday, November 23, saw a total of $6.2 billion in sales, beating out the predicted growth of $5.9 billion. YoY growth was 23.6% from 2017.
The top 5 products sold were:
- Laptops
- L.O.L Surprise
- Fingerlings
- Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee
- God of War
Small Business Saturday sales 2018
Saturday, November 24 saw $3.02 billion in sales, a 25.5% YoY increase from last year.
The top 5 products sold were:
- Little live pets
- Apple iPad
- Roku
- Nintendo Switch
- Red Dead Redemption 2
Together, Friday and Saturday came out to be the biggest online shopping weekend in US history, reaching a grand total of $6.4 billion.
Cyber Monday sales 2018

Monday, November 26 saw $7.9 billion in sales, a 19.3% YoY increase from last year.
This beat out the expected Cyber Monday sales of $7.79 billion, an 18% YoY increase from 2017.
- As of 10am ET, there were $0.531 billion in sales.
- As of 8pm ET, there were $4.3 billion in sales.
These numbers made Cyber Monday 2018 the biggest online shopping day in U.S. history.

- Fingerlings
- L.O.L Surprise
- Nintendo Switch
- Laptops (Dell & Apple)
- LG TVs
Other stats from Cyber Monday:
- The last few hours, from 7-10pm PST, were predicted to bring in as much revenue as an average day.
- More than $2 billion in online sales are expected to come from smartphones alone.
- Combined, US shoppers spend 10,000 years shopping on Cyber Monday — enough to build 65,000 single family homes.
Total sales November 1–26, 2018 vs 2017
From November 1 to November 26, 2017, revenue reached $50.1 billion.
For those same dates in 2018, revenue was predicted to reach $57.2 billion.
The actual number for 2018 was $58.52 billion.
