A survey conducted in September of 1999 by Datafolha found that 7.5 million Brazilians have access to the Internet. More than 15,000 people throughout the country were interviewed for the survey.
The more conservative estimate for Brazil belongs to International Data Corp. (IDC), which says there will be 3 million Brazilians online in the year 2000.
