CareerPath.com Adds New Newspaper Affiliates

CareerPath.com, the newspaper consortium that runs a career and job management network on the Internet, signed 11 new newspaper affiliates.

Employment classifieds from the Albany Times Union, Asheville Citizen Times, The Dallas Morning News, El Paso Times, Marin Independent Journal, Lansing State Journal, Pensacola News Journal, Press & Sun Bulletin, Rockford Register Star, the St. Petersburg Times, and The Wichita Eagle can now be accessed on CareerPath.com.

More than 60 newspapers already are on the site, including The Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, San Jose Mercury News, and The Washington Post.

The classified ad database is augmented by Resume Connection, which allows job seekers to post resumes online so prospective employers can search for them.

Other features include: CareerPathEXTRA, which allows employers’ job listings from their corporate Web sites to be accessed from CareerPath.com; Employer Profiles, which provides a full-page description of an employer’s business, a link to their corporate home pages, and a dynamic link to all the employer’s job listings in the jobs database; and content drawn from a variety of sources to help job seekers, employers, and human resources professionals.

CareerPath.com said it has more than 250,000 classifieds.
