“With the explosion of advertising on the Internet, the time has come for this kind of comprehensive resource,” said Mara Lipacis, editor-in-chief of Channel Seven. “Brand marketers are demanding ads that are richer, more interactive, and transaction enabled. TurboAds.com will give Internet agencies the information needed to jump start the learning curve for cutting-edge advertising technologies.”
Charter sponsors include Intel Corp., Enliven/Narrative Communications, InterVU Inc. and Cosmo Software.
TurboAds.com will feature case studies, quick tips and breaking news on the creative use of advanced rich media technology advertising tools such as 3-D VRML, Java, video, audio and animation. Additional editorial will include industry usage studies, media placement strategies, agency reports, and product reviews, the company said.
Lipacis said the site’s target audience is Internet marketing and advertising executives. ChannelSeven.com will be promoting the new Web site through extensive online advertising, industry newsletters, direct mail, and print media.
