Groupon will offer three vouchers for trips around the world: one voucher is for business class air travel for two for a total of $20,000 and two vouchers are for coach flights for two people each at $10,000 per voucher. The deal goes live tomorrow.
In the effort dubbed “Jet Set Adventure“, the daily deals site has partnered with Delta, Air France, KLM, and Alitalia to facilitate the travel, which will include up to 10 stops in Asia, Europe, and North America. The initiative is part of Groupon’s “Grouponicus” holidays marketing program.
According to an email from Chicago-based Groupon, people who purchase vouchers will be able to select from a slew of popular international destinations, such as the Great Wall of China and the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
They will also get:
- complimentary meals, snacks, and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages on the plane
- free on-demand in-flight entertainment
- a pair of safari hats
- a steamer trunk
The development comes less than a week after Virgin America ran a deal via Google Offers. The airline offered $50 vouchers that let the buyer to pick up 50 percent off roundtrip flights from San Francisco or Los Angeles to four destinations: Dallas, Seattle, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.
