By the end of 2000, there will be 700,000 Internet users in Colombia, and there will be 2.1 million by 2007, the report found. These figures are still well below the regional average. PC penetration, as well as telephone penetration, are also on the rise in Colombia.

E-commerce revenues in Colombia is set at $22 million in 2000 and $500 million by 2003, according to the report. In 1997, e-commerce in Colombia was worth $2.3 million.
