Massive founders score massive funding for new video game company. Wide skepticism as the new company, Brash Entertainment, says its niche will be TV and movie adaptions, which have a notoriously spotty track record. Somehow, that doesn’t prevent it getting $400 million in funding.

King of video sharing sponsors video blogging elder. YouTube becomes RocketBoom’s first sponsor after the site’s founder, Andrew Michael Baron, throws in the towel on the eBay advertising auction approach he tested last year. Baron also belatedly embraces YouTube distribution.

Sponsored search listings are more ‘dangerous’ than organic ones. McAfee’s second annual State of Search Engine Safety report finds sponsored results link to 2.4 times as many risky sites as natural results. And surprise surprise: Ben Edelman is involved.

Now that’s a roadblock. Eleven NBC Universal platforms — seven networks and four Web sites, will simulcast the 2007 U.S. Open opening round tee shot at 8 a.m. on June 14. Lexus sponsors the unusual cross-platform live coverage moment.
