The agreement also includes sponsorship of portions of the investment channels on sites to which Quicken.com provides financial content, as well as in- product advertising in Quicken 99, the personal financial management software package. Spending details were not disclosed.
In a strategic approach to reach the Internet-savvy investor, the online brokerage will run prominent banner and button advertisements on the Quote Plus, Stock Portfolios, Alerts and Markets areas on Quicken.com, on AOL.com, and on WebCrawler.com. Discover Brokerage’s logo will also appear on the Most Active, Gainers/Losers and Stock Search pages on each site. All of the sites, and Excite, will run Discover Brokerage banner advertisements in regular rotation.
All banner ads are interactive and offer hyperlinks to Discover Brokerage’s Web site.
“Intuit’s reputation as a leader in personal finance and investment management makes this a great fit to reach our target customer — the self-reliant and Internet-savvy investor. We’re aggressively expanding our marketing campaign and believe these Quicken.com sites will help us achieve strong growth,” said Stephen Miller, president and chief operating officer of Discover Brokerage.
