AKQA mixes it up for the Gap this holiday; WiredMinds pulls Quova's geolocation data into its Web analytics application.
AKQA mixed it up on the iPhone for the Gap. AKQA created an iPhone app to experience and share five classic Christmas carols for the Gap retail stores. The app also has a GPS-enabled store locator.
WiredMinds selected Quova’s geolocation data for its Web analytics software application. WiredMinds, a user behavior and availability analysis of Web-based applications, will integrate Quova’s geolocation solution data, which recognizes the IP address to determine the location of a Web visitor.
Kontera named Joe Koller Southwest regional sales manager. Koller joined Kontera with 10 years of digital experience in media firm Beyond Interactive in San Francisco, OMD LA, Deep Focus, and other agencies in Los Angeles.
Xing CEO stepped down.Social network Xing CEO Lars Hinrichs, the company’s founder, said he will step down, though will serve on the company’s advisory board. Stefan Gross-Selbeck, general manager at eBay Germany, has been named chief executive.
Matt Timothy joined BBE, formerly Broadband Enterprises. Timothy was named SVP of technology sales of BBE. He was previously vice president of streaming media at CBS. His 12-year career in digital media also includes stints at Paramount Television, Ziff Davis, and most recently SVP at National Cable Communications.
