Execs & Accounts: Attack Marketing, eXelate, Yellowbook

Attack Marketing to promote Francis Ford Coppola's new wine line; eXelate names chief revenue officer; Yellowbook launches campaign.

Attack Marketing and Promotions is promoting Francis Ford Coppola Presents’ new wine offering. Attack will provide online buzz generation and offline marketing and events for Encyclopedia, the new wine line, and drive traffic to Knowine, Encyclopedia’s official Web site.

Mark Zagorski was named chief revenue officer of eXelate. The company also a new U.S. headquarters in New York. In the newly created position, Zagorski will be responsible for business development, marketing, and client management. He was previously chief marketing officer at MediaSpan, and before that he was president of WorldNow.

Yellowbook created a microsite to support its recent campaign launch. SayYellowToTheFuture lets visitors view the TV spots, it also has direct links to a YouTube channel.

Gorilla Nation named Rudy Tabasa director of sales for its GNMulticultural vertical market. Tabasa was part of the management team at LiveUniverse, and sales director at Tagged.com. The ad rep firm also hired James Eppinger as senior sales manager and Amy Bernacki as sales manager, both in the London office. GN will also represent ad sales for Freewebs internationally.

Podcasting network Wizzard Media signed three ad deals. Prepaid Visa RushCard, GrapicAudio, and ugger Mugger all signed on to execute advertsing campaigns on Wizzard Media podcasts.

Pontiflex expanded its executive team with marketing and sales team hires. Chris Halvorsen, VP of business development, joins Pontiflex from Orbitz, where he held titles including VP of supplier marketing and VP of advertising sales for the partner marketing group. Jeff Gottesman, director of national sales, was director of national sales at MyPoints.com.

The Department of Homeland Security released a new ad campaign done by the Neiman Group. The public service announcement, “Define Their Day After,” urges small business have emergency preparedness plans in place in case of a natural or man-made disaster.

Tandem Interactive President Jo Laratro was named president of the South Florida Interactive Marketing Association. His service on the SFIMA board of directors will run for the 2008 to 2009 year.

Wild Tangent will handle ad sales exclusively for PopCap games.

MTV Networks Music & Logo Group named Nancy Bennett, SVP. Bennett will head up creative content development for program enterprises.

LongJump hired Jay Noble as VP of business development. Noble has experience with sales, marketing, and customer support at companies including Apple, Sybase, and Hawaiian Telecom.
