Execs & Accounts: Baltimore, WeeWorld, Appssavvy

Baltimore works with HipCricket; WeeWorld and Appssavvy hire sales veeps.

The city of Baltimore tapped HipCricket to support an SMS club. Club members can receive text notifications about local events and business discounts. The assignment is part of the city’s “PEACE” (Pledge to Engage in Actions Considerate of Everyone) initiative on behalf of the Recreation and Parks Department.

WeeWorld hired Pauline Malcolm-John as VP of sales. Malcolm-John was most recently director of East Coast sales at Slide Inc. She’ll be based in New York, where WeeWorld is setting up an office near Union Square. The company’s sales strategy is to integrate virtual and real-life promotions.

In a similar appointment, Appssavvy promoted Vida Mylsa to VP of East Coast sales. During her year-and-a-half with the company, she’s sold to brands including Absolut, Coke, Heineken, and Lufthansa.
