Bradley and Montgomery creates Microsoft's Mojave Experiment; Jorie Waterman joins MRM Worldwide to lead the agency's search marketing strategies.
Microsoft’s Mojave Experiment agency comes forward. Bradley and Montgomery worked with Microsoft for the launch of Internet Explorer 8 and the creation of Microsoft Mojave Experiment. The later is a collection of videos featuring celebrities and comedians discussing the evolution of the Internet, from dial-up modems to making friends on social networks and chat rooms.
Microsoft exec joins MRM Worldwide. Jorie Waterman was named SVP, director of search at MRM Worldwide in New York, where she will lead search marketing strategies and search-driven content development. Previously Waterman was Microsoft’s lead program manager for adCenter’s Keyword Services Platform.
CBS Interactive hires, promotes in sales division. Jaci Hays, previously VP of sales for GamesSpot, was promoted to national vice president of sales, games, and music. She will be responsible for U.S. sales strategy for the company’s games and music properties. Danielle Ryniker was hired as regional vice president, East Coast. Ryniker was previously director of sales, East Coast, at Double Fusion where she built out the casual games business unit. Previously she worked at Google as part of the East Coast sales team.
Simon & Schuster selects Responsys. Global publishing company Simon & Schuster will use Responsys for on-demand e-mail and marketing automation. The publisher will develop and execute automated and highly-targeted marketing programs across online and mobile channels. The new program is in conjunction with the relaunch of the company’s new Web site, SimonandSchuster.com.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Sapient unveil rockimmortal.com. The two, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Sapient, collaborated to create a Flash-based microsite to generate buzz for the April 4 induction of music industry luminaries Metallica, Run DMC, Wanda Jackson, Jeff Beck, Bobby Womack, and Little Anthony and the Imperials. Fans can post their wishes on the site when they visit.
Armour-Eckrich Meats selects Spark for buying and planning. Chicago-based Spark Communications will collaborate with creative agency Schafer Condon Carter on key media initiatives for Armour-Eckrich. Spark is a media division of Starcom MediaVest.
Roche Applied Science plays games with Blockdot. Casual games developer Blockdot created “Gene Expression Rave,” a game for Roche Applied Science, available on the game maker’s site Kewlbox.com.
Steak appoints group finance director. Jane Latham was named group finance director and will oversee all financial reporting systems and controls, and foster commercial focus throughout Steak. Latham was previously group finance director at Loewy.
