Execs & Accounts: Carat, iVillage, KSV

Carat hires Yahoo exec as chief client development officer; Inna Kern becomes VP, sales marketing, at iVillage; Kelliher Samets Volk hires new director, digital strategy.

Yahoo’s Feuling takes new post at Carat. Stephen Feuling was named Carat’s first chief client development officer. He also gets an EVP title. The position is seen as a marketing futurist role and expands the senior management team. Feuling was most recently VP of demand strategy and category development officer at Yahoo. Previous positions include CMO of Kmart and Bluelight.com, and president, and CMO at media agency Starcom USA. He has also held senior marketing roles at Clorox and Walt Disney.

Inna Kern heads sales at iVillage. Kern was named VP of sales marketing at iVillage Networks, where she will be responsible for the strategic, tactical, and creative implementation of advertising sales marketing initiatives across the network. Previously Kern worked at AOL, where from 2003 she held several positions in marketing. Most recently she was executive director of national sales development for Platform-A. She also worked with Time Warner’s Time Inc. division, where she directed the online advertising sales relationships between AOL, Time magazine, and Time.com

Kelliher Samets Volk brings in a new director of digital strategy. Meghan Haley was named director, digital strategy, at KSV, where she will plan integrated marketing solutions for the agency’s clients. Haley was previously an account director at Overdrive Interactive where she worked with clients such as Progress Software, Dow Jones, and Virgin Money. Prior to Overdrive she spent three years with Tank.

Dapper teams with Weather Underground. Dapper and Weather Underground will create a targeted product, WeatherMatch, which can target ads based on a user’s location and the current weather conditions.

Air2Web powers Domino’s Pizza’s mobile promotions. Air2Web was selected as the sole mobile services provider for the pizza franchise’s mobile coupon campaign management platform. Domino’s will serve coupons for franchises across the country through an opt-in text message program.

Superpages.com and Local.com renew, expand distribution agreement. Under the previous agreement Idearc’s Superpages.com advertisers received premium placement on Local.com, in addition to the Local.com network. Under the expanded agreement, Superpages.com’s performance-based and subscription advertisers will receive preferred placement on the Local.com Web site.

MRM Worldwide launches Intel Core i7 in Argentina. MRM Worldwide developed an integrated campaign for the Argentina launch of the Intel Core i7, a new computer processor. The objective is to generate awareness and create interest among the general public and includes an online campaign consisting of banner ads on portals and computer retailer sites, a microsite, a digital contest, a Facebook app, and a Google AdWords campaign. There were also out-of-home ads placed in subways and shopping malls in Buenos Aires.

Dryers Frozen Ice Cream Snacks selects Smith Brothers. Smith Brothers was named interactive agency of record for the frozen treat maker. Smith Brothers immediately began work for two brands: Nestlé Drumstick and The Skinny Cow.
