Clickable hires seven execs, 5th Finger runs a mobile campaign for the Zune on MSN, and MRM Worldwide hires a managing director to lead the New York office.
Clickable, a search advertising company, hired seven executives in search, engineering, and sales. Jonathan Betz, senior director of engineering, joins Clickable from Google where he was an engineering manager. Maxine Friedman, senior director of business development, was VP of media and marketing at BrandIntel. Bill Masterson, senior director of sales, left his position of group manager at Google where he lead direct sales for the commerce and analytics teams. Sandeep Sahi, senior director or engineering, was an architect and tech lead at Microsoft. He will lead Clickable’s India office. Jeremy Gerstle, director of recommendation sciences, worked for several years at Boeing in the network and communication systems department. Ben Seslija, director of analytics, previously led a team of analysts at Leapfrog Online. Ken Yarmosh, director of search technology, previously worked at Web agency Viget Labs.
Mobile marketing firm 5th Finger was selected by MSN to run a mobile campaign for the Microsoft Zune. The campaign included a “Get Your Fix Zune Sweepstakes” contest that ran throughout the month of June.
MRM Worldwide hired Corey Mitchell as managing director of the New York office. Mitchell came from Omnicom Group’s TBWA | Chiat | Day, where he was the agency’s president. As managing director and EVP, he’ll take the reigns of MRM’s flagship office the first of September.
MediaWhiz named Sal Guido chief information officer. Most recently Guido was VP, technology, at Miva. He was also director of enterprise computing at Tyco International.
Dave Johnson was promoted to chief operating officer at iCrossing. He previously served as EVP, North American operations. In his new role, his responsibilities expand to overseeing operations worldwide.
Mobile marketing firm Mozes won business from Sony BMG Music Entertainment. Mozes will run a series of mobile marketing initiatives involving text messaging, voice, and the Web for Sony BMG artists.
G5 Search Marketing entered a strategic alliance with Google. G5 became an authorized reseller of Google AdWords.
Underdog Media gains Adam Phillips as SVP of sales and business development. Phillips has sales experience from Katz Millennium Marketing, the incubator for 24/7 Media, and was VP of sales at ArtisDirect and SVP of sales at MusicMatch. He founded CoMotion Media.
Pandora and Flixter joined IndieClick publisher network. The addition of the two sites to the music and film-oriented network increases its reach to 50 million unique visitors.
Mochi Media selected Panther Express to power its online advertising graphics delivery. Panther will provide ad hosting and bandwidth for MochiAds, an online games advertising network.
Undertone Networks joined the Network Advertising Initiative.
