Thirty-year IBM executive Mike Moran left to join a social media marketing firm. Mike Moran took up with Converseon as chief strategist. Moran is the author of “Do it Wrong Quickly: How the Web Changes the Old Marketing Rules.” He will oversee technology development and consult with clients.
Technorati hired Ryan Kanaley and Luke McCormick. Kanaley, sales director, was a senior sales executive at Tribal Fusion and Advertising.com. McCormick, sales executive, was recently sales development manager at GoFish.com. Both will work in the New York office and report to Robin Keller, Technorati’s East Coast senior director of sales, and also a recent hire.
Crisp Wireless hired Martin Zary as VP of professional services, a newly-created position. Zary previously worked as VP of Vindigo and Zingy. He earlier served as director of product management, wireless and emerging technologies at DoubleClick. The mobile solutions and services provider also opened a data center in New Jersey.
Rob Schmultz joined the Bazaarvoice advisory board. Schmultz was VP of business management at GSI Commerce, and has held executive roles at software and consulting service providers.
