DoubleClick hires Caponnetto as chief sales and marketing officer; Tim Price leaves Date.com, goes to in-game ad firm Double Fusion; Tribal DDB hires a director of measurement.
DoubleClick hired Marianne Caponnetto as chief sales and marketing officer. Caponnetto was most recently IBM’s VP of publishing, global media and entertainment. She was previously director of corporate marketing at Dow Jones & Co.
Tim Price has resigned as VP of sales for Date.com and accepted a position with in-game ad company Double Fusion. Back in 2000, Price launched a similar company called InGame Media, which he described as “a couple years early to market.”
Bluestreak hired former DoubleClick sales and client services leader Mary Byrne as SVP of global sales. Byrne led a 75-person sales and client services team at DoubleClick, prior to which she was SVP of sales for Level 3 and VP of global accounts for Genuity.
Tribal DDB San Francisco hired Susan Cunningham as director of measurement and research. She joins from Modem Media, where she was associate director of marketing strategy and media measurement.
Universal McCann hired Steve Soldano as global managing partner on the Microsoft account. He joins from MindShare in New York, where he’s been worldwide strategic planning director for two years.
Movie download service Movielink made Donat/Wald its agency of record. The assignment spans Internet, print, radio and TV.
Hollywood Radio and Television Society named InfoSpace’s mobile and online media head, Stephen Davis, to its board of directors. Earlier, Davis was president of Granada America.
Coldwell Banker tapped The Feed Room to provide streaming video on its Web site. Sources of video will include programming from Forbes, HGTV and Fine Living, as well as internally produced content.
Chicago-based digital consultancy WhittmanHart hired David Pardun as chief financial officer. Pardun was VP and controller at Navigant Consulting.
Zedo won Xfire as an ad serving client.
Accipiter Solutions added several ad management clients in Italy. They include Editoriale Domus, BBJ, StudentiMediaGroup and iNet.
Yesmail hired Grant Roholt as senior VP of technology and chief technology officer. He’s held tech oversight posts at Qsent Corporation, Gemstone Systems and Supertracks.
Overstock.com tapped Bazaarvoice to manage customer ratings and reviews on its site. The merchant had previously created a reviews solution in-house.
Abebooks.com will use Coremetrics for Web analytics. The site is host to millions of used, new and rare books from approximately 13,000, the companies said.
